On Friday, the auto dealership, presented $750 to the Friends of Putnam CAC, inc., a group of volunteers that supports the Child Advocacy Center through fundraising and public awareness.

Jennifer Guistino, marketing manager, noted that the donation was part of the monthly Volz Auto Gives Back campaign where charities and non-for-profits are selected to receive donations from the dealer and its customers.

“We are pleased to assist this critically important group of volunteers and commend the work achieved for our children,” said Guistino.

Marla Behler, executive director of the Putnam CAC and Christopher York, president of the board of the Friends of Putnam CAC, inc., thanked the auto dealers for its generosity.

York explained that his board works to “promote the CAC’s mission while creating fundraising opportunities. As a government agency, the CAC is restricted from seeking private donations and foundation grants. Our organization has broadened the scope by assisting in coordinating public events to further serve our community.”

Behler added the “best hope for stopping child abuse before it occurs is supporting child abuse prevention programs within our county.”
